Set print question

I'm doing the set print on a file, but when I preview print only one page
comes up and this document it about 8 pages. I have not had this problem
before. Any ideas appreciated. I keep clearing the set print area and
re-setting it, but that has not helped. Thanks!

Hi

In the printer's dialog box there should be some choices by "print what?"

The default is to print the active sheet. You need to change it every time
you print to "Entire Workbook."

Personally, I wish it would default to "Entire Workbook" or at least
remember what I used last time. If you agree with me, please send a feature
request to Microsoft using the feedback feature on Excel's help menu.

When you choose File/Page Setup and look at the Print Area box on
the Sheet tab, does it correspond with what you set?

Do you by chance have a Workbook_BeforePrint event macro running?

Thanks for great replies.
I never even noticed the "print what" thing before, or print area box on the
sheet set up tab. Those will come in handy in future.

But mysteriously, today, is seems that the preview is showing all the pages
when I set print area, so problem has cleared without doing anything. I had
no workbook before printing macro. Take care.

This problem has now returned for a new file.
The print area says A1:H301 which seems to be correct if I understand it.
The file has columns that go out to letter H, and 301 rows.

But in the preview in Excel, it shows only page one surrounded by a large
grey matte on top and bottom of that.

Now I can go into the Printers dialogue box as suggested and change setting
to entire workbook, as suggested, but I don't like that, because the preview
then is in "preview" and not excel and shows no grid lines and looks nothing
like an Excel document. Any new ideas appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!
