sharing each employees calendar so that it is visible to everyone

Hello,
At the company I work we would like the engineers to put tasks on their
calendars so that everyone else can see it. I would like to do this so that
another employee who requires an engineer's service, may view their calendar
to view their availability. For example, if I need John's help I can look on
my computer and see John's calendar with activities and decide if he is too
overloaded or not before asking him to do more work. Is there a way of doing
this?

You need a Micorsoft Exchange Server to do what you are asking.
