Hi,

I am allocating two people to a task. (lets say the task is 8 hours). Person
A is allocated 6 hours and Person B is allocatd 2 hours. How can i get
Project to show that as allocated hours in the line info on the Gannt chart,
and not as Person A with 75% or .75 and Person B with 25% or .25 (I would
like the result to be Person A= 6 Person B= 2)

Cheers

Hi bigjackblack999 ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

This is not a built-in function. However, you can remove the %ages by
putting the resource names in the Initials Column and then showing the
Initials column (field) on the Gantt Chart instread of the Resourec Names
field.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi,

Sorry, I am months late in reading the newsgroup. I was asked the same
question by one of our PMs. I used this macro (original source forgotten) to
create a text field and then placed the text at the end of the bar.

Norm

Sub List_People_Hours()
Dim Job As Task
Dim Whodunit As Assignment
For Each Job In ActiveProject.Tasks
If Not Job Is Nothing Then
Job.Text7 = ""
For Each Whodunit In Job.Assignments
Job.Text7 = Job.Text7 & Whodunit.ResourceName & "(" _
& CStr(Whodunit.Work / 60) & "h);"
Next Whodunit
If Len(Job.Text7) > 0 Then
Job.Text7 = Left(Job.Text7, (Len(Job.Text7) - 1))
End If
End If
Next Job
End Sub

Note: If you don't want the "h" the line should read
&Cstr(Whodunit.Work/60) & ");"
