Somebody please help me with this strange Access problem.

I have an Access database that sits on a server running
Windows 2000 Server and Office 2000. My desktop computer
uses Windows 2000 and Office 2000. I can get to the
database from my desktop in two ways. I can use Terminal
Server to work with the database directly on the server,
or I can use a folder on the server that is shared to my
desktop. Using Terminal Server is the fastest way because
all of the processing takes place on that machine. Using
the database through the shared folder takes longer
because the data has to travel across the network.

Okay, recently the admin for that server upgraded Office
from 2000 to XP. Since then I've had a problem with the
database that I can not resolve. I don't know how to
properly explain this without being wordy, so bear with
me.

I can still run queries from the server and also over the
network. But if I attempt to edit a query while on the
server and save the changes, the database just closes. No
error, no warning, just closes. BUT, if I edit the query
through the network (using the Access 2000 on my
computer), I can edit with no problems. Then I can go back
to the server and edit the query with no problems. So any
query that I edit first on my desktop will be okay from
then on when I use it or edit it on the server.

I tried converting the database to XP, same problem. I
tried compacting and repairing, same thing. I tried
creating a new database from my desktop and importing all
of the objects to it, same. I tried creating a new
database on the server and importing the objects to it,
same.

I'm sure there must be some Access control file of some
kind that is confused or something, but I don't have a
clue at this point.

Any ideas?
