split resource

Hi ,
is there a way to assign different resources to each individual piece of a
split schedule instead of to the whole sche...
for example, I have a schedule for 9 days in total..with 2 different
resources...I would like to be able to put resource 1 on the First
split task and then resource 1 & 2 on the Second split and resource 2 only
on the third. Is that possible...?
can't seem to find anything out.
appreciate your Help
thanks

Matt,
It sounds like you really have three parts to a larger task. My first
question is, why is the task split? If it was split due to leveling then
your resources are probably already split out. If the split was manually
generated, you might be better off to simply define three separate
subtasks and assign the resources accordingly. In my opinion this will
give the most controllable results.

Another approach might be to define resource calendars so resource
availability is synced with the three task parts. Or, you could always
manually contour the resource work against the task parts. However these
two approaches will require some manual intervention if the plan is
later leveled or if the task parts move in time.

Try using the Task Usage view and type in the hours you require each
resource to do and when you want them working.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Matt,
Say what? What document? I didn't mention anything about a document. I
simply gave you various options in response to your post.
