Still can't print color seps from Publisher 2003

I tried increasing the paper from 11x17 to 12x18 and even to 13x19 (the
actual size of our film) and it still crashes.

|| Yep. I'll try enlarging the page a little like Karel suggested and
|| see if that works. I just emailed you the .puz and the unpack.exe
|| files. I couldn't email the original 8 page file, because of file
|| size.

I have not received these files. How large/small is the original zipped?

I used the Pack and Go feature, so you'd get all the fonts and the .puz file
is 2717 KB.

I still have not received it. Can you try to send it to another email?

Jimmy, we were able to reproduce your problem internally at Microsoft. I am
working with them now to see what the problem is with this file.

Still working on it. But so far we are led to believe that something my be
corrupt in the objects you have for this particular publication, but we are
working on it.

While we are working on it, do you have any other publication beside this
particular one it happens to? Can you test a completely different
publication with the same setup and different objects?

That's weird. It worked when I deleted her picture. But why is it that when I
copied and pasted that half with her picture onto another 8.5x11 document, it
printed fine? It was only when I made the file 11x17 and copied the left page
onto it, that I started getting the problem.

I can't answer that. Our testing shows that the picture is corrupt. If you
open the measurement toolbar and write down the the 4 measurements for the
picture's size and location, and then do an Edit > Copy, then Edit > Paste
Special as a WMF picture, and then print, see what happens.

What kind of items are in the file that won't print?

A corrupted graphic is very often the cause for crash during printing.
Not just in MS Publisher, but all apps. Most of the time the graphic
looks just fine on screen.

If you have Acrbar Distiller you can troubleshoot eps files by dragging
them to the open distiller windpws. if they process, the are fine. if
one of more does not process, those are corrupted and will have to be
replaced. Tiff and otehr files are harder to diagnoses. Best bet is to
start with a new doc, add half tyhe graphics and print. No good? delete
have the graphics and try again. If the first try works, add half of
those not tried and print again...you get the idea. If you reach the
state where all print, then corriupted graphics are not the problem.

Mac, we have did the troubleshooting which has led to one particular
graphic, which when copy and pasted special as a WMF will fix the proble for
this particular graphic for this print job in question.
