Styles in Word 11

Using Mac OS Lion on my MacBook Pro, getting used to Office 11. Re
styles...I previously defined several files (Helvetica 22 point green,
Helvetica 22 point blue, etc.) and I use them frequently when writing
speech notes. I'll never use the default ones. When I click on the
button "Manage the styles that are used in the document," my old
customized styles appear. How can I get those to appear in the Styles
window and delete the default ones?
