Support for Microsoft Works files in Office

User A has Microsoft Office 2003 and User B has Microsoft Works (not sure
what version.). User B recieves Excel files from User A via email but can't
open the attachments because they don't have Excel.

Is there any way User A can create a Microsoft Works Excel file using Office
2003

If User B only needs to view the Excel file, then User B can download
and install the free Excel 2003 viewer from
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011620741033.aspx .
Works 8.0 can open and edit a one-worksheet Excel 2003 file, subject to
the limitations described in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=269273
"Works: Limitations of Sharing Files with Excel".

Excel, Save As ".csv" should work for data transfers.
