task changes

Hi,
New here. Wondering if anyone has advice on this...
I am tracking a R&D project using MS Project 2002. Some
tasks that were originally scheduled were never done, or
only partially done, because we started down that path
and then realized that we should develop the product a
different way. I've got them all under a "Prototype
development" summary task. So, prototype development is
done, but some of the tasks inside it were only partially
done, or not done at all. How would you update those
tasks? I don't want it to look like there is still work
to do there.
Thanks in advance.

If the tasks are truly over, set remaining work on the tasks to 0. That will
mark them complete.
