Temporarily suspending email account in outlook 2003

The yahoo pop server is having trouble and I keep getting the pop up box to
enter my username and password when sending and receiving mails.

Is there anyway to stop outlook trying to get my mails while the server is
having problems, the pop up box is driving me mad. it would seem that I can
only delete the account not 'suspend' it.

Try Tools-Send/Receive-Send/Receive Settings-Define Send/Receive Groups,
highlight the group and click Edit. Highlight the Yahoo account and uncheck
the "send mail items" and "receive mail items" boxes.

Press Alt-Ctrl-S and uncheck the box that says "Schedule an automatic
send/receive every"
