text in slides explodes

Have made edits to a presentation, saved and filed. upon opening again some
of the text has changed font size (different to the master) and I have to go
and re-apply layout again. this has happened in more than one prese - any
ideas how to prevent or why it happens?

Can I assume someone else made the presentation or that it was made on
another machine? IF so I'm guessing a font was used that is not present on
your machine and PPT is making a substitution.

If you are using PPT 2003, try checking for a sevice pack update. One of the
people I assist was constantly resizing text and saving her presentation.
Upon reopening, she would have to resize again. Once she got the service pack
for PPT 2003, her problem was solved.
