Too Many Arrays?

I have had an issue with spreadsheets using the ³transpose function.² If I
use it too many times in a single spreadsheet, Excel 2008 refuses to save
the document. That is, when I try to ³save as² using a new file name the
program crashes. I have had this issue on several different Macs. Is there
a maximum number of arrays or transpose functions that Excel can handle?

How many is too many? How large a range are you transposing?
