Trouble importing Document file in Office 2003

I have just reinstalled Office 2003. I copied my Document file from another
drive and pasted it into the C drive that is running Office 2003. It copied
all the folders in the Document file but did not copy the files and files
within the subfolders.

How do I bring all my Document folders and files into Office 2003?

What do you mean by 'my Document file'?

If you mean the 'My Documents' folder there is no need to move it, also the
method of moving was incorrect.
Within an Office app, eg Word, Tools>Options>File locations and point it to
the My Documents location.

But then you might mean something else?

I am running Windows Vista so "My Documents" is now called "Documents".
I want to move "Documents" folder on an external drive with about 50
subfolders to the C drive.
However, when I cut and paste it only pastes the subfolders but it does not
paste the files within those folders. How do I copy and paste both the
subfolders and the files in the "Documents" file?

I dont use Vista, in earlier o/s you select properties of My Documents, then
click on Move which allows you to select a location.
There may be Vista permissions issues in trying to move it that you will
need to overcome.
My / Documents is a special system Folder/shortcut and as such cut/paste
doesnt work.
