Two different calendars for one project

We are doing work in the Middle East from North America. Our typical
non-working days are Saturday and Sunday. Our overseas office is closed
Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. Is there any way of implementing both
calendars in one project?

Some of the engineers are in Oz and have different holidays when their
office is closed. How can I have ANZAC day a non-working day for the
engineers and a working day for us?

The 3 or 4 different time zones is also a problem, as is non-uniform
application of daylight savings time.

Thanks,

Hello Allen,
Create the 2 calendars : Tools / Change Working Time / New.... Give them a
name and set the non working days as you want.
Then, in the Resource Sheet, apply one calendar or the other to each
resource, in the Base calendar column

Thanks for the guidance.

It looks like it is going to get messy, just like real life. Some tasks
require both resources (e.g. conference calls), and some just require
coordinating start and finish dates. A 5 day task may be accomplished in 5
calendar days for one group and 7 calendar days for the other. I may just
have to run two parallel processes with links between the two.

Hi,

And just to make it even more messy (hence my family name :)) when you will
put an Ozzy and an Arab on one task, Project ill not even try to make
theiu-ir conferece call simultaneous. For instance the Ozzy will do his part
ofd the conference call on Fridfay and the Arab will perform his part of the
work on Saturday.
Pity, but that's how Project treats clender info.

Hope this helps,
