unable to play imbedded sound file in word doc

Anyone with experience getting word X for mac to be able to play an
inserter/ embedded sound file?

I received a joke word .doc from a friend, at the end, the punchline
is in a sound file. There is a speaker icon, and the text says to
double-click on it. When I ctrl-click on it, One of the choices that
pops up is "wave sound object" , it has an arrow to the right, the
only choice there is "convert". The only format available is wave.
Even trying to do this in hopes I could save it somewhere just yielded
the error message:

The server application, source file, or item cannot be found. Make
sure the application is porperly installed, and that it has not been
deleted, moved, or renamed."

Anyone have ideas on this?

thanks in advance.

My First idea on this is "You are lucky it didn't work."

That's almost certainly a virus. If you don't need your operating system or
any of the information in your computer, please feel free to continue
double-clicking on "jokes".

If it *had* been a .wav file, WIndows Media Player or iTunes would have
started and played it for you :)

I suggest that you help yourself to an up-to-date AntiVirus program sometime
soon, before your "friend" sends you any more "jokes" :)

Cheers
