After furious head scratching, Bill asked:
| Thank you for responding, but should have mentioned that both
| versions are full versions, the Office Pro 2003 is not an upgrade. I
| installed the full version of Office Pro 2003 over Office XP Pro and
| would like to give the older Office XP Pro away. Is this possible?

| Sorry, but what you wish to do isn't possible. You see, when you use a
| licence as a qualifying product, the QP licence becomes 'assimilated'
| into the upgrade licence and the two become inseparable. If you give
| away the QP you void the upgrade. If you want to Office XP away,
| you'd have to give 2003 away as well as they are now essentially one
| and the same product.
