Use a different server?

Guys,

All that about binaries lost me. I'm using MobileMe as my ISP, despite
that embarrassingly dumb name. Surely, I can't be the only one with
that system.

Can you give me a clue how to change its server?

MobileMe isn't an Internet service provider. How do you get *to*
MobileMe? Perhaps that company offers Usenet access (although
unfortunately, many ISPs have dropped it in recent years).

It appears that you're currently accessing Usenet via the Google Groups
web interface. If you get a newsreader program (such as MT-Newswatcher)
you can then access Usenet via one of the services that Corentin and
I mentioned.

MobileMe is not your InternetServiceProvider.
They provide e-mails, iDisks, etc, but not internet access.

I suspect there is some confusion.
As I was saying in another thread, you are accessing the group through
a web interface that actually only mirrors the usenet group.
You can keep on using Google, or you can get a proper usenet client
(Unison, MT-Newswatcher, Thunderbird etc) and point it to a news server.
Most news servers offer the Microsoft groups and they all mirror each
other (that's the nature of usenet).
If you are confused about binaries, then it means you don;t really need
them and you can safely ignore the comments about them.

You can get free access through different providers. Your ISP might be
offering usenet access. Otherwise, there are free providers out there
(like Eternal September).

Once you have an account, set it up in your client application, search
for the Word group here and subscribe.

Oh, and I'd like to remind you that the official Word group has moved
to the Microsoft web site.
You can get there through mactopia.com
