Using ODBC file open/save

Is there any problem opening, updating, and saving an
enterprise project using the "Open->From File->ODBC"
function into the standard project database? I have used
this to retrieve projects from a backup (great!) but not
to edit a current project. We had an update program done
for us that uses this method and it makes me nevrous.

Scott:

Microsoft recommends that all project updates be done through the PDS and
not directly in the database. With that said, many folks ignore Microsoft's
recommendations.
