using Project and Outlook

We are considering using project to keep tabs on the things we need to
accomplish daily, weekly etc.

What I need to find out is can the items we put in Project be linked some
way with Outlook so that when I assign a task it will be sent to the person
who is responsible. I also need to know if those items assigned to people
(resources) can be added to a persons task list in Outlook.

Somehow I need it to be easy for people to check just one program and see
what tasks they need to accomplish. We have several people who are not as
computer litereate as the others and Project will be quite challenging for
them if they are required to use it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Samiauthor,

Please explore use of Project Server 2007. It sounds like that tool is what
you need based on the few requirements you've listed.

Is there some place I can get all the features that Project Server 2007 has
compared to other versions of Project? I have looked on the web, but there
are so many sites and I can not find one that gives a good comparison.

I'd suggest starting here:

"Microsoft Office Project 2007 edition comparison"

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
