Visio 2000 files corrupted after opening in 2003

I have run into a problem in which Visio 2000 files opened
in Visio 2003 become corupted after saving. In addition
sometimes when I open a Visio 2000 file it gives me a
blurb about macros and asks if I want to diasble them.

Could you explain what you mean by corrupted after saving? Are you trying
to reopen the files in Visio 2000 after saving them in Visio 2003? Visio
2003 uses a different file format. You should do a Save As Visio 2000/2002
format to stay compatible.

It's quite possible that some of your Visio 2000 files have VBA macros in
them. Visio used to ship some in our templates, or perhaps you created some
macros yourself. Visio 2003 has strong security settings turned on by
default. Thus you see the warning message about macros. You have the
option of changing your security settings in Tools > Macros > Security.
