Visio shapes going out of allignment

Using Visio 2000 I am working on a relatively complex set of 11
flowcharts using 5 vertical functional lanes. These are are all in
one file.

When I opened the file today, using the same laptop and file as last
week, the first and most complex flow chart displays correctly on the
screen for approx 1 second, and then all of the various shapes and
text move to the extreme left of the chart.

A colleague has opened the same file using Visio 2003 without a
problem, but on using 'Save As' from 2003 to create a new Visio 2000
file I get the same problem opening the new file using Visio 2000.

I'm sure that somebody has come across this problem before - Is there
a fix?
Do I need to upgrade to a later version of Visio to save my diagrams?
If I do upgrade what version is best to move to?

We have several reports of this issue but have had difficulty trying to get
an exact reproduction of the problem. If you would like to send me your

Hi Mark

Sorry for the delay in responding. I upgraded to Visio 2003 and this
resolved the problem, but if it recurs I'll certainly send you a copy
of the file.
