what happens to my work and files

If I do decide to uninstall office 2007 because I just cannot get along with
it and too time consuming trying to use. I would then re-install Office 2000
will all my work and folders and files still be around in word etc or would
they all be lost? because of the lapse of office applications between
deletion and reinstallation????

It will not delete your work files. Please note that if you haven't saved
your new files in the older format, you will not be able to read them in
Word 2000 without downloading the proper service packs and compatibility
pack.
