When I turn my computer on, the windows sound does not appear.

I totally lost the windows sound on my computer when I turn it on, or when I
turn it off. I went into control panel to see if it works, and it works in
there but not on my computer.

I have the Windows XP and when I turn on or off my computer, there is no
windows startup sound at all.

Have you checked to see if there should be? I've been known to turn sounds
off. I don't need more noise in my life.

the point being, this group is for questions about Microsoft *OFFICE*, as in
the title - microsoft.public.*OFFICE*.misc - not *WINDOWS*. Your question is
about the *WINDOWS* operating system which has *NOTHING* to do with
*OFFICE*!
