I'm not clear about how Groove Document Repository works and if/how it
organizes work space files. For my workspaces, I create a specific locations
for them on my local drive and download updates there all the time. If I add
anything new to my local workspace, I upload it to the Groove workspace.
File synchronization works great but I use a lot of the other functions in
Groove like Task Direction, Meeting Minutes, etc. that you can't access.
If I'm not mistaken, by default Groove places these "files" to the following
folder:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Groove\User
Groove stores it internally (on your disk & not a web server) and is strongly
encrypted that makes it unreadable. It's recommended that you don't try to
manipulate it.
