why does text not fit in the layer's when view larger

When my site is view at different sizes the text does not resize and you can't
see all of the text in the layers.

That's the way 'layers' work. They are absolutely positioned. When you put
one at 980px from the left margin, that's where it will be until the cows
come home.

What are you trying to do?

you do know that cows eventually come home

When I set-up a layer for text, and you open it up online, and the text ( in
the screen view) is set larger then medium it will not fit into the layer
box, but if you inlarge the layer box I loose the format I'm trying to use.

Yes - that's why you should never use layers to contain text, *UNLESS* you
understand how to accommodate this fact.

Why will a table not work for you?

For a first site, you have done a nice job. Here are some suggestions -

1. Your page is too wide, causing a horizontal scroll on my ~740px wide
browser viewport (1280x1024, 19" screen). It's generally a good idea to
shoot for the lowest common denominator here - about 760px.

2. Please get rid of this - This Site is best viewed on Internet Explorer
with a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels. Do you really think someone
would read that and go change the resolution of their screen, or change
their browser to view your site?

3. However, I can see why you need it - in FF the page is a mess.

4. I would strongly encourage you to reconsider your use of absolute
positioning (for your content). Converting this layout to a table based one
would take a bit of work, but you would learn alot, and you would have a
page that is much more stable than this one.

Thank you for the reply, I was over rueled on the page size, I was going for
a 800 x 600 at first. I will try to redo the site like you said. Is there
any way to link ( or share) the contant of one page with others with out
having to go into each page one at a time, and edit to match?

You made the right choice. Your overruler is out of bed on this one. Spank
them.

Definitely - investigate the use of Dynamic Web Templates, or of include
files in FP.
