Why doesn't my repeat key (F4) work all the time in 2007?

I used the repeat key in Word 2003 for several functions but in 2007 the
repeat key doesn't work. For instance, when working in Word 2003 and I wanted
to size several pictures in a file, I would size the first one then hit F4 on
the rest. This worked great in 2003, but doesn't work in 2007. In fact, I've
noticed that the repeat key doesn't work for all functions in 2007.

This is a bug with the new dialog box in Word 2007. I believe a workaround
is to Save As in Word 97-2003 (*.doc) format and then reopen the document in
Word 2007. If you right-click the picture you can choose Format Picture on
the context menu, and you will see the old dialog box, which supports F4.

If you save the document as Word 97-2003 format, that version's graphics
handling is adopted immediately. You shouldn't have to close then re-open.
This is not so much a bug as a different method of handling graphics in a
new file format.

Thank you for the clarification.

I do understand that Word 2007 handles graphics differently; still, that the
fact that the new dialog box doesn't support repeating actions certainly
seems like a bug.
