When I try to export my contacts to another computer, it says "the process
cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the
file." How can I unlock it?

List the precise steps you are using, your Outlook version, and why you
think exporting is necessary.

I'm tryiing to keep my contact list current on my main machine (Office SBE
2003) and export it to two other machines (Office pro 2004). I think I just
found the problem described on MS site: the PST file on 2003 is incompatible
with the PST files on 2004. Now isn't that a hoot. I guess I can use csv
files for contacts.

if you are using outlook 2004 - that's Mac software... I wouldn't expect it
to be compatible.
