Why is my pasted excel graph showing up a blank border in word?

I can see the graph only when I click inside the border. It also appears in
the print preview.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View tab | check the
"Drawings" box and uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | Print
tab | check the "Drawing objects" box | OK.
