Will Office 2007 Home edition overwrite Office 2003 Professional

I currently have Office 2003 Professional loaded on my computer. I just
bought the Home and Student version of Office 2007. If I load 2007, will I
lose 2003's Access, Publisher et al? Or will they coexist?

Will I also have access to Excel 2003 AND Excel 2007 on the same machine??

Patrick, thanks for the prompt reply.
Office Home and Student Edition 2007 only contains Word, Excel, PowerPoint
and OneNote. The custom install usually only allows me to select from those
four.
My concern is with the other elements from 2003. Access, Publisher Outlook
et al. IF I install Office 2007, will I just end up with those 4 programs on
my computer? i.e. will Office 2007 scrub away Access, Publisher and Outlook
2003?

Do a custom install and you can pick which programs to keep and which
not.

The custom installation choice should also allow you to select what older program versions to remove. Office generally does not
remove any app that it can't replace with the new product you're installing, but it's a good practice to be sure you have the disks
for the original versions available as well before doing an upgrade.

Outlook 2003 and Word 2007 (as the email editor) probably won't work seamlessly together.

Hi Bob. Thanks for the information.
I am concerned with the "should" qualifier. If I try to install 2007 and it
wipes out 2003, I can reinstall 2003, wiping out 2007. However, finances
being what they are, I do not want to risk opening the 2007 packaging. You
know those retailers take a dim view when you want to return opened software
packages.

If you all (members of this forum) can not assure me that installing the
Home edition of 2007, will not cause me to lose the things I want from 2003,
I'd better not risk the installation of 2007. Sigh!

I only use Outlook as a PIM rather than for it's e-mail functionality, so I
don't think I will be bothered with Outlook 2003 not wishing to play nice
with Word 2007. (Naturally, I say that now, but 6 weeks from now I will rue
the day!!)
