Word and networked printers

Yidaho

My setup is Desktop PC connected by cable to wireless router, networked
printer connected to router, two laptops on wireless network.

Word 2007 hangs when trying to print to the networked printer from the
Desktop PC when Word tries to 'find' the printer. Publisher does something
similar but does not hang and can cancel the program 'finding the printer'.

Workaroud used is to print documents to Adobe PDF creator 'printer driver'
and then print documents from Adobe.

Do you have the printer driver installed on desktop computer? Try removing
the printer and then use the Add Printer wizard in the Printers and Faxes
folder to add it.

Hi Beth,

Deleted printer, added printer, worked.

BTW It would not recognise printed as networked printer at address
http://192.168.1.5 but had to add it a local printer attached to TCP/IP port.

Working now though

Thanks,
Paul
