Word document wanting to save changes after printed when none made

Added Last printed to the header and now everytime I print the documents, a
message comes up asking if I want to save changes to the document. The only
thing I am doing is printing it. Does anyone know how to stop this message?

Well, the document has changed (because the print date has been updated). If
you want the print date to be correct, you will have to save the document.

When you print, you update fields, which causes the document to be "dirty,"
so Word asks if you want to save it. If you *don't* save it, then your
PRINTDATE field will not be correct because the date of the last printing
will not have been saved. Of course, if you're printing repeatedly on the
same date, you can ignore the message (but you can't stop it).
