Word/Excel open and save dialogs slow after uninstall Office 2007

Hi,

I recently upgraded Office 2003 to a trial of Office 2007, and when I
decided I didn't like it I uninstalled Office 2007. My problem is that now,
when opening or saving a Word or Excel document the Open/Save dialog box
takes about 25 seconds to react. I am 99% sure the cause of this is the
install/uninstall of Office 2007.

Has anyone else had this and knows the resolution?

When you uninstalled Office did you repair your installation for Office
2003? Try that first, especially if it was installed along with Office 2007.
If that doesn't work then another common cause of slow dialog boxes is an
unavailable mapped drive. For that, disconnect any mapped drives that are
unavailable and see if that resolves the issue.
