Word Problem

Occasionally when I try to save a document, the document
starts flashing on and off and the computer is locked up
for some time. Obviously there's something wrong. Any
suggestions to try. I've already done the "detect and
repair" several times with no improvement.

Disable the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus.
