Word takes 30 or more seconds to open

Words takes 30 or more seconds to open. First it gives a "Document in use
Dialogue Box" "the Preparing to Install" and it seems to be searching and
will eventually open, sometimes after a minute!! It ismost frustrating. Copy
& Paste used to give me the same message, however, Tech Support fixed that.
But this they cannot fix. It is making me crazy. HELP HELP

Don't use templates from a network location. Have support write a
simple line into your login script that uses XCOPY to copy the updated
templates to your local disk.
