Workbook won't open

Di Ferguson

After closing the workbook I have been using as my start page it won't
re-open. I get an error message that: '..... can not be accessed.' You
may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the
document is stored in may not be responding. I repaired permissions,
looked at Get Info, and tried all of my other workbooks. All of my
other Excel documents open just fine. Naturally, I don't have a backup
copy. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi

Norton Utilities may be able to find and restore an older copy of the file
in question. There may be operating system problems that can be fixed by
Norton Utilities and other programs such as DiskWarrior and TechTools.

For future reference, you can have Excel save a backup copy automatically by
checking the automatic backup checkbox in File > SaveAs > Options.
