Is there a way to add/upgrade Office XP Professional to
include the new release with publisher; or does MS
Publisher have top be purchased separately at full price.

Publisher has to be bought separately.
Office 2003, if you upgrade, does have Publisher in the box in the Small
Business and Professional editions - the Small Business Edition is now
available retail once again, too.
