YIKES HURRY!! Cannot delete a std file tool or files within it

Groove 2007, no server.
I created the workspace and am manager in all the tools, since I created them.
I created a file tool to rearrange a bunch of files located in another file
tool,
copied files from old into the new, now want to delete the files in the old,
and then delete the old file tool tab completely. The delete command is
greyed out.
HOW do I get rid of these?? (Naturally I've go a huge training presentation
in 10 hours, and need this cleaned up before then.)

The files I cannot delete were loaded into the File tool folder by another
member of the workspace, and the other guy shows as the person who last
modified them. Am I not allowed to delete items unless I created them?

Please give me any straw to grab onto here, and THANKS in advance!

Surprise! I went to dbl-check the workspace properties, and find that even
though I created the workspace, SHOULD be manager, and Used to be Manger, my
Role has somehow become Participant. Even worse, NOBODY is listed as
Manager. I guess that would explain the inability to delete stuff.

Any ideas how this could happen?
And, is there anything i can do about it?

Hi Frank,

This is strange. There is nothing in Groove that changes the role of a
member automatically. I know of no way this can happen programmatically
within the application. That being said, if you are a participant in a
space, you will not be able to delete anything. What you can do is make a
copy of the space and then delete the folder from there. This is what you do:

1. In the Launch Bar, right click on the space that you are having problems
with
2. Select Duplicate Workspace
3. A copy of the workspace will be created, tools, data, everything – you
should be a manager in this space
4. Delete the original space
