Absolute time resolution

I am attempting to design a project lasting involving a lot of short tasks
over about a week, using MS Project for the first time. Can I edit/view
start and finish times as Date+TimeOfDay rather than just Date?

In the menu Tools Options View DateFormat lets you choose a formtat that
includes the time as well as the date.

Note - in most circumstances you should NOT be entering/editing start and
finish times. With the exception of constrained tasks, the start and
finish

Thanks Steve, that's exactly what I was looking for: I don't know why I had
such trouble finding it myself.

I understand about not entering start & finish times. MS Project has, indeed
done a good job of coming up with a plan with suitable resolution. I was,
however, wondering how I was going to enter actual times if I did not want
to use percentages. Also it is nice to see times in my gantt.

You're welcome - BTW, just a reminder to enter the actuals in the actual
start and actual finish fields of the tracking table and not the plain and
start and finish columns of the regular entry table, are you not?

Yes, I think I understand that. I'm very boring: I did the mini-tutorial
from the help before I started - it didn't take anything like the two hours
they estimated and it was very helpful for a complete newbie like me.

Martin.

Great - hope you didn't mind the reminder - I've just found a lot of
newcomers to Project don't realize that there are a number of different
tables and that actual and scheduled entries aren't interchangeable.
