Auto apply one text entry to multiple parts of a doc

I'm trying to create a page of 10 labels that all have the same text
on them. There will be a date on each label and the date will be the
same on every label. What I was wanting to do since the date is the
only thing that will change everytime I'll print the labels, is to be
able to enter the date once when I open the document and have it
applied to all the other labels. (The date isn't the "current date",
so I can't use the current date field.)

I'm pretty sure this has something to do with fields, I just can't
figure out how to make it do what I want. At the very least, I could
just put a blank text field on every label and retype the date 10
times. But I was wanting to simplify it for other users in my office.
Was hoping to avoid the complaints of "I don't want to type that 10
times". :)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Michael,

Quick way is to make this a merge. Have the date be the only merge
field and you put in the date and merge to the label document.

Thanks for the reply, but I figured it out this morning after I got to
the office. :) I guess I just needed a night to rest and give it a
little thought.

I ended up using the "Insert Field" command and using REF in the
field. It referenced back to a form field that I had on the first
label. So all they have to do is enter that one field and the rest of
the REF fields update automatically. Cool!
