Combine tasks & calendar

Is there a way to make your tasks show up on your
calendar view? It just doesn't make sense to have to
enter in a task with a time and date for accomplishment
and not be able to have that show up on your calendar.
Any suggestions?

In your Calendar go to Day/Week/Month view, click View and TaskPad.

Ben,

I had this option checked to show all tasks, but none of
that appeared in my calendar. And I do not have a lot of
tasks, but there are several due this month and they do
not show up in the calendar. It is as if the calendar
does not share data with the task file -- if that is
possible.

Do you have the Tasks in the default Tasks folder or are they in some
seperate sub-folder somewhere?

Tasks do not appear directly IN the calendar in Outlook. You'd have to
manually add them. A relatively quick way to do this is to right-click a
task and drag it to the Calendar folder -- you'll get a list of options for
creating a new appointment item based on the task information.

If you want to look at a 3rd party solution for automatically adding tasks
to the Calendar, there's at least one tool listed at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/tasks.htm -- you might also want to poke
around Slipstick and see if you find any others.

Hi Doug,

I will publish in a few days TaskToCal.
With this addin it is possible to view your tasks in your calendar.
Furthermore you can edit your tasks in your calendar folder or in the task
folder. Drop me an email and I will inform you when it is available.
