Computer Website Backup Question

Kathy

Thanks for all your help!

I have a question about backup up the website on my
computer. I transfer files from my home to work computer
over the summer. I basically just copy them to a cd then
copy them back to my work computer.

When it gets to my website files it tells me the files are
too long to maintain julian format because they are over
64 characters I believe, and did I want to continue. The
file names that are long are the ones that include
copy_of_arcs in them. Are these files ones that are
created automatically as pages are opened, and thereby
don't really need to be copied to the cd?

If I do need to make sure they are copied, what would be
the best way to do this? I presume I would need to go
chagne the names of the .htm pages so they won't be
created so long? Or should I be copying my site in some
other manner?

Thanks,
Kathy

Use a decent burner program like Nero Burning ROM that will allow you
to relax the "Joliet" standards so you can have longer file names.
