Can you get outlook to only accept incoming e-mails from people on your contact list...and send all else to your deleted folder?

Yes, create a message rule for that and for Outlook 2003 you can also
configure your Junk E-mail settings for that.

I am using outlook 2000 (i think) I understand the rules wizard thing but how do you set the command up...how do you get it to delete all but names in the contacts list.

Oops, that Wizard Rule is not available in Outlook 2000. You'll have to
create a rule that holds all the addresses then as a workaround. If you have
a lot of contacts. You are probably better of in using a third party
spam-filter like MailWasher.

....I did get it to work. I set the rule up in the wizard and input all the names from my contact list individually...it seems to work. It sure cleaned out my inbox...I've got a few things to go through in the deleted files now. Thanks
