ExchangePerflog_???????????????????.dat

Does anyone have any ideas what files called for example:

ExchangePerflog_8484fa310f8eeedf5d028dd0.dat

are all about or what they are used for? These files appear to get
generated when Outlook 2003 is installed and get placed in a user temp
directory.

Any ideas?
