I am unable to open any of my Word files

I just loaded Office 2003 and when I try to access any files I get either
"the file is not available" or "the file cannot be opened because your virus
scanner has detected a problem with the file." All the files opened fine on
the previous edition of Office 95 and they can't all be infected. My virus
scanner is up-to-date.

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus. See
