Include Page difference in 2002 and 2003

Matthew Schwarz

Hi. I created a site in FP 2002. I created a small menu page called
leftmenu.htm. On every single other page I did a "Page Include" to that menu.
In FP 2002, if I changed anything in leftmenu.htm, then when I viewed the any
of the other pages in IE 6 they automatically showed the updates.

Now I've switched to FP 2003. If I make a change to leftmenu.htm I do not
see the other pages reflecting that change unless I open up every single page
and then save and close them.

Does anyone know how to resolve this? It kind of defeats the purpose of
doing the page include...

By the way, I have not published anything. This is just viewing the pages on
my local hard drive.

Thank you.
Matt

There is no change in FP 2002/2203 Include pages
- you still must open the FP web site (not just a page), edit the include page, and publish your changed pages

id you make changes where you require to upload new pics or something to
website for the htm part to use, 2003 sometimes glitches up and searches your
site for the files instead of your harddrive, try to rename the page or
something upload it and check then before u make it life on your site.
sometimes helps. ive noticed that happening when i preview my pictures dont
show up since its still looking on the website not my harddrive...

You have to either make the change directly to the include page on the server via FP or you must
publish your local copy using the Change Pages only option to live/remote site via http for all
pages to be updated or you have to open the live/remote site in FP and run Tools | Recalculate
Hyperlinks
