LOOK IN UNDER FILE OPEN OPTION

From MS Office 2000 on, it seems like sometimes it takes a
while to list out all the drives (local or network) when
opening file by selecting the Look In field in MS Office.

Does anyone know if something can be turned off on the
registry? Thanks.
