Multiple Calendar Issue

In advance, my apoligies for this long message. But I think it's important
to give all the details for this issue.

I have been using Outlook 2007 simultaneously on my office computer and home
computer. I usually sync my Blackberry with both of them. At work, I also
use Outlook 2007 to access my corporate email account. At home, I only use
Outlook for Calendar, Tasks and Notes. When I am home or on my laptop, I
access my corporate email by logging into the exchange server through
Internet Explorer. All of this was working just fine until I changed to my
new Blackberry (Bold). I connected it to my computer at home and synced. No
prob. My new BB now had all the Calendar, Tasks, and Notes data from my
Outlook 2007 at home. Everything was great. Next day I did the same at work
(I make lots of changes to Calendar, Notes, and Tasks in all three locations
- home, office, and BB handheld - and sync both at work and home so all three
have the same updated data...again, never been a problem).

Here is the problem. After the first sync with the new device at work, I
didn't notice but apparently a new Calendar, Tasks, and Notes folder was
created in my Outlook 2007 (again, at work). My old one was always called
"Calendar in Personal Folder" or "Tasks in Personal...", etc. Again, never
gave this a second thought. Now the new ones are just named "Calendar",
"Tasks", etc. This while slightly inconvenient was not the problem. What
WAS the problem was this. The next time I went home and logged into my
corporate email account using Internet Explorer, all of a sudden I got
"Appointment Reminders" popping up on my screen in IE. How the heck did
Internet Explorer know that I had to pick up my kid at 3:30? Did that mean
that all of my personal info from my Blackberry was now on the server at work
and was being delivered to me via the internet wherever I logged on? Not
only was I concerned about that because while I use my Blackberry for work, I
am a consultant, the Blackberry is my personal device, and only a small
portion of the contacts, tasks, etc relate to this particular corporate
environment.

So I contacted our IT admin and this was the response: "You cannot simply
undo them. The only way is to delete them from your office Outlook. This will
actually delete them from the server. Nobody can see these Contacts or Notes
on the server. Once you clean your Outlook start syncing with new correct
settings and you should be all right." ---

So my question is this. First, is the IT guy correct in his statement
above? And how do I do what he said? Keep in mind I am not worried about
losing any info from my computer at the office. A) It is my computer so I
can do whatever I need to with it, and B) I obviously have all my data on the
Blackberry AND in the Outlook on my home computer.

Again, sorry about the long lead in to this question, but I wanted to be
specific. Any assistance here is appreciated. Thanks!

1. IE wasn't popping up reminders. OWA (Outlook Web Access) had the
appointments and was triggering the reminders.
2. Yes the admin is correct. (I don't get to say that often enough. :))
3. In Outlook, press Ctrl+6 to go to the folder view. How many calendars do
you have? If one, use a table view (like by category) - add the modified
date field and sort by it. Delete all the appointments added when the BB
synced your home acct.
