New changes won't show when published to web...

Titania

Hi all! Hope someone can help me! I had to move my
Frontpage (2002) files to my laptop from another
computer. Frontpage loaded fine, I can bring up my files
and I can make changes fine. But when I publish to the
web, the changes don't show up. Is there some sort of
setting I need to change on my laptop or in Frontpage
itself?

Pretty please...anyone know the answer before I toss my
laptop into the trash? lol

Thanks!

Titania

Did you "Save" your changes / updates before publishing, also have you tried clearing your browser cache

Hi Titania,

Are you publishing with FP? If so, did you have a web open when you
updated the pages on the laptop? There must be web open when you
update do that pages can be flagged as modified.

Are you sure this is true? I regularly use Photoshop to modify image files
that are in a folder in my web, even when FP is not open, and the changes
are picked up and the modified file is uploaded next time I publish. I can
also add a totally new image file to an FP folder and it wll be published.
Ditto for an Access database.

I have the same problem on my desktop. Have tried all
normal avenues. Let me know if you get a cure.

This may be obvious - but you *are* using the browser's refresh button to
make sure you are not viewing an older, cached copy of the page?

Got the same problem on my desktop. I am using FP2000 on
an XP box. Is this similar to your config? Have tried
all the usual dump files/history and even disk cleanup and
sys restore. Updates still do not show on my computer
although it shows up on others.

I am also having this same problem on my desktop. Asked the question in the general group. One response that I have not been able to check yet is if our ISP is caching pages???

I had the same problem. I pressed refresh button on
browser on each page and sure enough, I was looking at
cached pages!
Try it!
