I have the same problem with Pub 2002. Landscape
orientation prints with a wider right margin and portrait
with a wider bottom margin. Have had to compensate with
every file that requires equal margins (ie: multiples per
page to be cut). Same problem with 3 different printers -
does not occur with other programs.

D.L. That is a feature of your printer driver and NOT Publisher.

Publisher does not control the margins in any way, your printer driver does.

It is normal for printers to have a larger bottom margin than a top margin,
which in landscape becomes the left and right margin.

Just thought I'd add a little to this discussion. I have used every
version of Publisher since version 2. I am now using 2003.

I have had this same issue for some time now; I think around version
2000. My publications shifted slightly to the right. I do a lot of
double sided, so you can see the margins are off when you hold it up.
I have just lived with it, because I couldn't find a way around it and
it seemed like such a small amount of space, it's barely noticable. I
just got Pub2003 and I have only printed one of these publications
with it, and the problem seemed to be gone. Go figure!

But, you are not the ONLY one in the world with this issue/problem! I
am using WinXP, Pub2003, and HP932c (with the latest and greatest
driver). I did not ever notice this issue with previous versions.

Sorry I don't have a work around, other than upgrading to 2003.

You will find it is only an HP problem. Decent, good and respectable brands
of printers will not give this issue. I keep telling everybody to buy Canon
and you will have no issues.

I'm aware of my printer's margins (minimum 1/2" bottom for
portrait and same for right for landscape). Even taking
this into consideration when formatting, I have to group
everything on the page and move it down/right by 1/16" and
then use my arrow keys to nudge everything back .02 of an
inch to get reasonably equal margins on opposite sides.

If this were a printer margin issue then my page contents
would be cut off when I move them down to compensate for
the margin discrepency.
