Sorry Milly, but that cannot be the answer because the problem lies with the
sending from the XP mail to the 2000 Outlook. Can you look again into this
please?
thank you

Milly is correct. The problem is an incompatibility on the Outlook 2000 side. It can be resolved by sending the meeting request without a reminder. Microsoft also has a hotfix for Outlook 2000 that you can get by calling Microsoft Product Support.

Have the user with Outlook 2002 uncheck the reminder before sending.

Having searched the archives,
Jepe <[email protected]> typed:
| Home network: "A" uses XP / Office XP and "B" uses ME / Office 2000.
| When B makes an appointment in calendar and invites "A", A gets
| message, accepts or rejects and sends back to B. Upon opening, the
| appointment is adjusted in B's calendar. All is well.
| ME/2000 calendar invites work perfectly towards and back from XP.
|
| However is A does the same, B only receives a Notepad attachment with
| lots of technical info, and in between the Description (date and
| time) and the Summary (which is the subject of the appointment).
| So XP calendar invites to ME/2000 are not as should be.
|
| Where is the problem and is it possible to correct this?
|
| thanks
| jepe
